How To Use MedEd On-Demand

SMA Members
Access to the MedEd On-Demand library is free to all SMA Members.

Step 1:  REGISTRATION.  Have you registered on the sma.org website?  Go to the “Login” button.  Registered users enter their ID and password in the Login box. If you have not registered, click on the Login button and follow the links to complete your registration.

Step 2:  SEARCH OPTIONS.  Once you have logged-in, you have access to all of the lectures available in the MedEd On-Demand library.  Use the Search box to pull up lecture titles.  The drop-down boxes default to “all”.  If you make no selections and click the submit button, you will receive a listing of “all” of the available lectures.  If you are looking for specific lectures, click the drop-down boxes to see and make selections.

Step 3:  WATCH A LECTURE.  Choose and click on a lecture title.  A new page will open with general program information (faculty bios, target audience, disclosures, etc.) about the lecture.  To play the multimedia presentation (powerpoint with synchronized audio) click on the “Launch Presentation” button.  You can stop and start the lecture by using the buttons at the bottom of the screen.  You must have a sound card in your computer to hear the audio.

Step 4:  REQUEST CME.  After watching the presentation, go back to the lecture page to the menu box and click on “Self-Assessment Q&A and CME Credit Form.”  Answer the self-assessment questions on-line.  When you have successfully answered all questions, click the “CME Credit and Evaluation Form” button at the bottom of the page.  Complete and submit this form to SMA for processing.   You will receive a CME certificate documenting your participation.

Non-Members
Non-Members can purchase an annual subscription for $199 or purchase individual lectures for $25 each.  To set up a subscription, click on the link on the MedEd On-Demand home page and follow the subscription process, then follow the established steps listed above.  To pay and receive credit for individual lectures, complete Steps 1-4 above then when completing your CME submission form, you will need to include credit card information to pay for the individual lectures you completed.
