Activity Learning Objectives
 

Through a combination of evidence-based didactic lectures, panel discussions, and faculty/audience Q & A, attendees will have the opportunity to gather and exchange information regarding sleep disorders and the latest advances in pulmonary medicine. After participating in this activity, participants should be better prepared to:

  • Understand the normal mechanisms of sleep.
  • Identify how sleep records are reviewed and recognize the EEG patterns of normal and abnormal sleep.
  • Recognize the causes and treatment of Insomnia and Narcolepsy.
  • Apply current concepts for the treatment of sleep disordered breathing.
  • Review the latest information on interstitial lung diseases and targeted treatment in asthma and COPD.
  • Understand current concepts in the management of Sepsis and antibiotic resistance in Pneumonia.
