Southern Medical Association has been serving physicians' needs since its inception as a physician member association in 1906. The SMA mission is to enable physicians to practice the highest standards of medicine by fostering professional development and economic stability through education, services, collegiality, and leadership across multiple specialties.  SMA is an accredited provider of CME by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.  In 2005, SMA was resurveyed by the ACCME and awarded "accreditation with commendation" for six years to provide continuing medical education for physicians.   This rating is achieved by only ten percent of CME providers.   To learn more about the SMA, to become a member or for more information call 800.423.4992.
