Southern Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award
The Southern Medical Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Academy of Family Physicians
This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for 13 Prescribed Credits by the American Academy of Family Medicine.

American Osteopathic Association
This activity has been approved for 12.5 hours of AOA Category 2-A credit. 

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has assigned 13 cognate credits to this program. 

Nurse Continuing Education Contact Hours

The Southern Medical Association is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on accreditation (ANCC). Southern Medical Association Provider#5-125. This activity qualifies for up to 12.75 contact hours.
