Medallion Level CME/CE>CME/CE Calendar>Certificate in Business Administration for Physicians 2009
Course of Study

The Certificate in Business Administration for Physicians consists of 20 modules. Participants must complete all 20 modules and course requirements in order to receive the Certificate. Lengths of lectures vary monthly, but students should plan to spend an average of 15 hours each month on course requirements. A tutorial on Time Management will be issued to all registrants prior to the start of the course.

Each month students will access online lectures or will receive lectures on DVD. In addition, students will complete an individual assignment and engage in interactive, asynchronous, online discussion with fellow physician students regarding case-based, problem-focused scenarios. Discussion boards will be jointly facilitated by the module instructor and the SMA course administrator and students may participate at any time convenient to their busy schedules. To measure learning outcomes SMA will administer pre- and post-tests at the beginning and end of the Certificate course and require students to evaluate each module for content quality and learning satisfaction.

For questions, please contact the SMA course administrator, Tina Kehoe, at tkehoe@sma.org or 800-423-4992, ext. 118.
