The Southern Medical Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 23.5 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Application for nursing credit has been submitted. The Alabama Board of Nursing (ABN) and the Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA) approve UAB Hospital’s Department of Continuing Nursing Education as a provider of continuing education. The ASNA is an accredited approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). The Alabama Board of Nursing Provider Number is 0055.
