Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, the Evans-Haynes Burn Center and Southern Medical Association are pleased to present a Halloween Masquerade Ball at the historic Science Museum of Virginia. Costumes are not required and masquerade masks will be provided! Once known as Broad Street Station, the railroad hub of Richmond, Virginia, the Science Museum now displays hundreds of entertaining and educational exhibits. Enjoy a casual cocktail party in the elegance of this grand turn of the century building. Classical guitar entertainment will be provided by Andrew McEvoy, a local instructor, performer and graduate of VCU. You may want to enjoy an IMAX® experience in the DOME Theater and Planetarium. Start your visit to Richmond off right with a night of great food and entertainment at one of Richmond’s most historic landmarks.

Silent Auction to Benefit “The Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors”
It’s no “Trick;” there are awesome “Treats” at this year’s silent auction to be held October 31st during the welcome reception at the Science Museum. Browse and Bid for exceptional gifts including: relaxing and romantic weekend getaways; a Jamaican holiday for up to ten guests; exquisite jewelry; handcrafted works of art; gift certificates to premiere shops and restaurants; sports memorabilia; and much more. Bidding begins at 7:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. Winners will be announced during the event and must be present to claim their prize. Payments may be made with cash, Visa, MasterCard, or personal check. All sales are final. Proceeds fund scholarships to burn survivors from the southern region to attend The Phoenix Society World Burn Congress. VCU Evans-Haynes Burn Center Tour

This year the burn center tour will include the old and new Evans-Haynes Burn Center, hosted by Andrea L. Pozez, MD and team members. This integral component of the Burn Conference promotes information exchange among members of the multidisciplinary team. Building on the knowledge gained from the conference, the tours will provide participants with a valuable opportunity for transmission of experience.
