Activities
We’ve scheduled several complimentary events in the exhibit hall to increase your opportunity to view and learn more from our expert exhibitors.
Breakfast with Exhibitors
Thursday: A continental breakfast will be served in the exhibit hall from 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
Dessert with Exhibitors
Thursday: An assortment of desserts will be served in the exhibit hall from 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Strolling Lunch with Exhibitors
Friday: Join exhibitors for a complimentary strolling lunch from 12:15 p.m. -12:45 p.m. No Fee. Ticket Required. Mark registration form.
Daily Refreshment Breaks
Complimentary coffee, soda, water and light snacks will be available during your breaks in the exhibit hall.
SMA Physicians’ Hospitality Area
Visit the SMA Booth to learn what the Southern Medical Association provides for you. SMA staff will be available to talk one-on-one about our insurance and retirement programs, upcoming educational activities, marketing and multimedia options for your practice, the SMA website and more!
Prize Drawings
All registered professional attendees are eligible for the prize drawings. There will be two Grand Prize Drawings, one each on Thursday and Friday afternoon, in addition to the popular, “Register with Exhibitors for Prizes” giveaways. Professional attendees are encouraged to visit with exhibitors to learn more about their products & services — all while qualifying for great giveaways! Winners will be chosen during the break times each day. Don’t forget, you must be present to win any of the prize drawings!
SMA Internet Café – Wireless Area
This area will provide you a location to keep in touch with others through wireless access to the Internet. The perfect place to check your email or surf the web!
Scientific Posters
An entire area, separate from the industry exhibits, has been designated for you to view your peers’ poster presentations of the latest research findings and clinical information. A reception during the moderated poster event, tentatively scheduled for Friday evening, has been planned to give you the opportunity to meet & greet the poster presenters.
American Physicians’ Art Association
Art enthusiasts will want to be sure to stop by the APAA area to view the display of paintings and sculptures by physicians from across the U.S. For more information on membership in APAA contact Dr. Lawrence Travis, APAA Secretary/Treasurer at lwtjr@bellsouth.net.
SMA History Video & Memorabilia
As you walk through the exhibit hall, be sure to look for SMA History Memorabilia. This year marks Southern Medical Association’s 100th Anniversary and we will place some interesting and important history exhibits throughout the hall for your viewing. A video detailing SMA’s history will also be showing throughout the meeting, as well. |
